How to Whiten Teeth With Baking Soda – Step by Step Guide

Keep in mind that when you go to a clinic or dentist for teeth whitening, it will cost you much more, also time consuming matter. So we are talking about DIY at home. Now we are going to describe 5 different methods of whiten teeth with baking soda along with their risks and precautions.

Method 1: Water with Baking Soda:

One of the easiest way to use baking soda with water to whitening teeth. Make a paste with one tablespoon of soda with equal amount of water. Mix well both to get a smooth paste. Put some amount of paste on your brush and then brush gently for 2 minutes.

Rinse your mouth completely so that there is no trace of baking soda. You will find that your teeth are whitened instantly. Repeat the process for few weeks to get the best result.

Method 2: Toothpaste with Baking Soda:

There is another simplest way to use soda with your toothpaste directly. Just add some baking soda powder with your regular toothpaste and apply on your teeth. The most common ingredient fluoride that contains in paste protects your teeth from cavities and strengthening your teeth enamel.

The mild abrasion of baking soda will help to remove stains from teeth surface. For better result use white toothpaste instead of fancy gels. You can mix one tablespoon baking soda with 2 tablespoon of tooth paste. In other way put some baking soda in a small cup. Add twice the same amount of any generic toothpaste.

Mix them completely to get a smooth paste. Put some small amount on your brush and then start brushing your teeth for about 2 minutes. You will instantly get whitening result. Rinse your mouth properly to remove the trace of baking soda in the mouth.

Repeat the process for few times in a week and continue for few weeks to get the ultimate result. If you are in a rush to whiten teeth, then you should follow instant teeth whitening process inestead of baking soda methods.

Method 3: Hydrogen Peroxide with Baking Soda:

Hydrogen peroxide is one of the bleaching agent that is safe to whitening your teeth. It is a most active agent in maximum of the teeth whitening items. It also helps to kill the harmful bacteria from your mouth. The broken stain molecules can be easily brush out.

To make a paste you need to take one tablespoon baking soda and 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. Put one tablespoon baking soda in a small bowl and pour 3% hydrogen peroxide solution in the bowl to make a smooth paste. Now put some paste on your brush and brush your teeth for 2 minutes. Don’t mix any regular paste with it.

Rinse your mouth completely after application so that there is no trace of paste. You can see that your teeth have whitened instantly. Repeat the process 2/3 times a week and continue for 6-8 weeks to get the ultimate result. Note that if you feel too harsh for your teeth and gum, then dilute the hydrogen peroxide solution more.

Method 4: Lemon Juice with Baking Soda:

Lemon juice is a versatile ingredients that can be used with many home remedies including teeth whitening. Citric acid is present in the lemon juice which acts as whitening agent. Some people don’t feel safe to use it but if you can take some precaution that it is better to use.

This remedies significantly shows whitening result immediately after use. Using this remedy once or twice in a month should not be rinsed to any dental problems. To make the paste you need one tablespoon baking soda and one tablespoon freely squeezed lemon juice.

Put few baking soda in a small cup and then add equal amount of lemon juice with it. The fizzing and bubbling will settle down as you mix the elements to make a smooth paste.

Put a little amount of paste on the brush and gently brush in a circular motion for 2 minutes. Rinse the mouth with sufficient water so that there is no trace of soda or juice. Repeat the process once or twice in month to get the best result.

Method 5: Coconut Oil with Baking Soda:

Coconut oil is one of the most popular ingredients for oral applications for its immense benefits. It contains lauric acid that can kill the harmful bacteria effectively and improving oral health. While combined oil with baking soda it makes a healthy and safe recipe that improves your oral health.

To make a paste you need one tablespoon baking soda with one tablespoon of coconut oil. Apply the paste in small amount by your toothbrush and gently brush for 2 minutes. Rinse well so that there is no trace of paste. Repeat the process once or twice in a month to get the best result.

You can make another recipe with strawberry and salt in the same manner and apply in the same procedure. So far we have discussed the methods can be well applied at home and natural teeth whitening at home is much more cheap and less time consuming than other oral treatments.
