Microblading Eyebrows Aftercare Tips for Long Last Brow Strokes

Microblading aftercare is vital, and the treatment’s success depends on how well you care for the treated area. So you should follow the advice given by your artist to the letter.

Microblading aftercare involves cleaning your brows and keeping them from infections. It also includes caring for the skin in the eyebrow area in the manner advised by your technician, according the aftercare timetable.

The most sensitive period is mainly between the first to the 14th day after treatment.

What Should I Do for Microblading Aftercare

As mentioned above, the first two weeks into the healing process are the most sensitive. The microblading eyebrows process involves making minute cuts into the skin.

If there is slight laxity, germs may find their way into the skin. So how do you care for the skin after microblading?

For the first few hours after treatment, you need to control the oozing of lymph fluids. Gently blot eyebrows with a clean tissue towel to avoid a buildup of the fluids.

Consequently, keep the treated area dry. When you go for a shower, keep your face away from the showerhead.

However, it would be best if you washed the eyebrows twice a day in a patting motion with clean water and antibacterial soap. Notably, this should be about 10 days after treatment.

In addition, you should avoid using skin cleansing products that contain acids or exfoliants. After cleaning the area, completely dry it by blotting and not rubbing.

Once the brow area is dry, you can apply a microblading aftercare cream as advised by your technician.

Things To Avoid After Microblading Treatment

  • Keep away from using makeup for the first 10-14 days.
  • Avoid swimming, saunas, or activities that would lead to sweating.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning.
  • Don’t go for laser or chemical treatment.
  • Refrain from picking, scratching, or peeling the brow area.

When Can I Wash My Eyebrows After Microblading

One of the microblading eyebrow aftercare tips is keeping the treated area dry. So, you could be wondering when you can wash your eyebrows after treatment.
Generally, you can wash your eyebrows at least 10 days after the microblading treatment.

At that time, you can make a light touch with antibacterial soap and clean water. All the same, avoiding water for the first few days will help you realize the expectations you had when you sat on the microblading chair for the first time.

Can I Put Vaseline During Microblading Aftercare Period?

Vaseline happens to be one of the most widely used skincare products. All the same, after a microblading treatment, you need to refrain from using it on the eyebrows for the first two weeks.

Technically, applying petroleum jelly makes the eyebrows sweat underneath. Notably, you should avoid sweat from getting to the treated area.

In addition, avoid using antibacterial ointments not prescribed by your specialist because they may remove the ink from your eyebrows. This may lead to microblading fading.

The best solution to flaking and scabbing after treatment is using the microblading aftercare creams as advised by your artist.
